Plot: Following a pair of mismatched travellers, Claire and Freddie, as they try to escape a deadly pandemic that has turned Los Angeles into a zombie-infested wasteland. Claire is a privileged young suburbanite ill-equipped to survive in this hostile new landscape until she meets Freddie, a retired soldier who lost his daughter to the virus.

Story: End Times starts as we meet a privileged young woman Claire (Bernadette) has struggled to adapt to life after a zombie outbreak. She finds herself taken advantage of and sees the worst in humanity. Claire gets rescued by Freddie (Stark) who offers to help her survive in this new world, help her gain her strength.

As the two travel the area looking for supplies and safety, they bump into different kinds of threats. Some are easier to deal with, while others offer up challenges they never imagined dealing with.

Verdict on End Times

End Times is an action horror following a couple of survivors as they look to survive a zombie outbreak. It brings the two from different worlds together, as they deal with a host of different threats the world is offering.

This is a zombie survival movie that holds back on the zombies and focuses more on human threats. The unlikely pairing works well for a zombie movie and has become the backbone of the best ones out there. They have the typical reaction that follows the bond and bickering. However, the lack of zombies holds things back, as it is implied it is the early days/weeks of the outbreak, so you would expect a large number. Meanwhile, the human threat, it isn’t much different to anything we have seen before. This ends up being a by-the-book zombie movie without feeling like a bigger threat is ever in play.
