Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm in Juicy Pink Review and Lip Swatches

Hi everyone,Hope everyone is enjoying the weather as it has finally decided to rain and yes feeling good after the horrendous heat we have had to bear this summer in India. I have been quite slow in blogging and posting due to personal reasons but cannot be away for too long so here I am with a review today. I shall be reviewing the Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm in Juicy Pink. I have used it a couple of times now and I am all set to tell you about it. Please read on to know more....
Ingredients: Nothing particularly mentioned. But it contains the following:

• Olive Oil
• Jojoba Oil
• Vitamin E
• SPF 15

Price: Rs. 110/- for 9 ml.Shelf life: 24 months from date of packaging.

The Elle 18 Juicy Lip gloss comes in a squeeze tube with an animated girl on it which makes it a bit appealing to look at. It has a screw cap and the tip of the lip gloss is slanted which makes it easy to apply on the lips. There is no information regarding the ingredients on the tube. It has not leaked on me hence I would say that it is travel friendly.

Lately I have been into bright lipsticks and I am not a big fan of lip glosses because the colors mostly do not show on my lips also the lasting power is poor too. I had won this lip gloss in a contest and was excited to try this as a part of the new collection Elle 18 had come up with. The lip gloss is a light pink color with mauve undertones which makes it not too dull or not too bright.  I could not find any shimmer in it which is good. The lip balm is very smooth and makes your lips feel soft. The taste is like cocoa butter/sweet candy and I feel like eating it which I do, Lol :P Now the thing is that this color does not show up on my lips like I said previously but makes my lips look juicy and plump.It is not good enough as a lip gloss but as a lip balm very moisturizing. Due to its formula it will not stay for long and you will have to reapply after an hour or so. You can also use this over any lipstick for that extra added ooomph. 

The Good:Cute and nice packaging.Slanted tip for proper applicationSweet taste and pleasant smell.Inexpensive.Travel friendly.Easily available even online.

No shimmer.
The not so Good:Staying power could have been better.The color will not show on pigmented lips.Complete ingredients list missing.

Rating: 3.5/5Elle 18 as a brand is more targetted towards college going girls. This is a nice option for them as it is inexpensive and more appropriate for college make up. I wish it was more pigmented to show up on my lips. I recommend it to all who are looking for a sheer pink lip gloss.Please leave a comment below I do love reading them all.
