With the possibility of Zach deploying soon, we've had to think and prepare as if he is. I wanted to do a project with the boys that would leave them both with something special to look at when and if he leaves. And since we have to sleep, what better than a pillowcase to look at right before bed?!

We headed to Michael's to grab the new Sharpie Paint Markers and picked up standard pillowcases to decorate. We cut open a brown paper bag and placed it between the pillowcases to avoid bleeding through to the other side. Cardboard would work too but that's what we had :)

The markers are super easy to use and come in a variety of colors. This would be a perfect project for a girl's slumber party or event as well! Right now through June 28th at Michael's, you can buy two Sharpie Paint Markers and get one free... so stock up!

We had a blast making these and I know Nolan will absolutely love looking at this every night before he goes to bed and every morning when he wakes up. The markers came in both water based and oil based and they were super easy to wash off his hands (and feet) after using. We also washed it afterwards and it looked exactly the same as before we washed it :)
What types of projects would you use these for?!
