Drinks On Me: Study Shows Beer Makes You Happy

We already knew this all along, way before these scientists started their research. But, now it’s official and it’s good to have a theory to back it up.

A research team at Indiana University, U.S. led by Dr. David Kareken, have found to believe that beer scientifically helps to improve our “pleasurable response in the brain”. These scientists have found this after scanning the brains of some drunk dudes.

“We believe this is the first experiment in humans to show that the taste of an alcoholic drink alone, without any intoxicating effect from the alcohol, can elicit this dopamine activity in the brain’s reward centers,”  neuroscientist David Kareken said in a statement.

I’m not sure if these researchers were drunk at the time of finding these information. But, I’ll take their word on this one. Heck even I’m still drunk from all the beer I’ve had since I read the news. Who would have thought happiness was with us all along. Cheers!
