What’s new, metal fans! I’m going to introduce today an amazing Spanish Doom/Death Metal band from Galicia, which has released a new album entitled “My Last 14 Minutes”, I’m talking about Deathwalking, a sinister metal band which grows around a very cool dark concept based in terror and zombies.
Deathwalking was born as a band in 2007, when some musicians with previous musical projects decided to start a new band which was called DWT (Death Walking Terror). After many local shows on several stages, these guys entered to the studio to the recording of their first song called “Buscando Unha Saída”, with lyrics written in Galician language.
After that, the band stopped its activity and it stayed asleep due to several reasons and the internal unstability of the project. After some years, two of the founders of the band decided to awake it again and continue this musical project, now under the name of Deathwalking with a new line-up.
The new goal of the new Deathwalking band was the recording of their first album, which finally was released on 2013 and it was entitled “Infectados”. Lyrics from this album are written in Galician language. This first album contains nine fantastic tracks full of disquieting and dark emotions with a very good doom metal sound with death metal elements, melancholic melodies and powerful and dark passages with really great brutal voices.
Songs like “Cae” with fantastic Doom touches and nice heavy guitars or “Skully” with and impressive starting, great voices from beyond the grave and a surround and atmospheric melody which creates a dark ambient, are high recommended tracks on the album.
“Atrapareite” is another fantastic track with great guitars, nice melody and some electronic elements which gives as a result a very cool song.
“Esquecer” and “No Bosque” are also high recommended tracks in which these guys definitely show us how to make a great Doom Metal sound and “Sin Retorno” is in my opinion a fantastic masterpiece which you should not miss. It’s really fantastic!
Deathwalking band has been working hard last year to bring us a new album and we can enjoy now an amazing new brand from this guys called “My Last 14 Minutes”, their second album released a few months ago, which contains five tracks and a really amazing album artwork by Mario S. Nevado from Aegis Strife.
The song which gives the album its title, “My Last 14 Minutes”, is in my opinion an absolutely great masterpiece high recommend with rich passages full of melancholy, melodic voices and also amazing brutal voices really great, I think this is a perfect track which displays a fantastic sound, a dark ambient and a very good composition which definitely you must listen to it, with different touches and details along the four parts in which the track is divided “The Blame”, “A Look Into The Abyss”, “Let Me Cry For Something Good” and “Death Fighting”.
“Between Life And Death” is a nice instrumental track with an amazing surround and melodic sound which continues the dark journey from these guys to terror and desolation… I think the title of this song is perfect… At the end of the track… a disquieting dead man transforms into a zombie…!
“Die To Keep Killing” is another fantastic and brutal song which I recommend you to listen to it, I really like this song so much! You can enjoy it by clicking the following link.

“Grief” song is an agressive and powerful track very cool which I also invite you to listen to it, you will not be disappointed! And the last song, entitled “The Biggest Bretayal”, is a great instrumental track with nice melody and amazing keywords which leaves you waiting more. I think this quiet song is just an interlude…, really the calm after the zombie storm… which leaves an opened door to… perhaps a future new infected assault from this guys, in which zombies and terror will come back to desolate the earth…?
The band is now working hard in the recording of their third album and I sure that we will soon enjoy a great new zombie invasion, of course.
