What’s new, Metalheads! I’m going to introduce today a Funeral Doom Metal band from Brazil called De Profvndis Clamati, which has release “The Transylvanian Mountainside Aria”, the first websingle for their forth coming full album entitled “The Vehement Shade of Passion” – Adagio Molto Maestoso e Appasionata Afetuosa”.

De Profvndis Clamati band is from Curitiba, in southern Brazil, and is based in a previous musical project called Long Winter, which was based in Folk/Black Metal. With several unstable line-ups along the years, the band also has been experienced some different names until reaching De Profvndis Clamati.

Judging by the current sound of the band, I really think that these guys have finally found the perfect name for the band, which defines exactly the concept and the music of De Profvndis Clamati project.

With the arrival of Kleber Fainer to the band, this musical project was enriched with several influences from the previous Black Metal music to classical and baroque music, with interludes and evocative orchestrations and choirs, agressive and unquite passages, creating the particular dark and complex universe of De Profvundis Clamati, based on Funeral Doom Metal which developes a particular romantic tragic concept full of darkness, melancholy and eternal twilight emotions.

De Profvndis Clamati released in 2010 an EP entitled “In Between Passionate Minnuendos”, which contains two tracks. “Undying Orchestral Suite” is an instrumental masterpiece really fantastic with impressive keyboards, a sound full of melancholic and atmospheric orchestations with different passages or emotional states which reminds me to a tragic film soundtrack. I think this is a cool piece that transmits romantic and dark emotions.

These dark emotions are reflected with more intensity through the next track in the EP. “Love May Sink by Slow Decay (Requiem & Dirge)” is a song that really shows to us a descent to an abysm of pain and agony, as its title indicates we are faced with a spirit that suffers and dies slowly in its pain, trough raw and despairing vocals, slow, agonic and deseperated growls in the first part of the track, with cool guitar melody and great doom and heavy touches, culminating its first descent evocated with beatiful orchestations to give way to a brutal and ripper passage in the next minutes of the song, ending with fantastic and glorious choirs and melancholic guitars with which the calm returns after the agonic storm of a spirit full of pain and despair.

In 2013 the band has released a special edition of “In Between Passionate Minnuendos”, in which they have included two new songs, “Quietive Of All Covet” with a fantastic Doom Metal sound and “To Appease the Whirl Of Passions”, in which they show to us deep and agonic emotions again, with a slow and heavy sound, these guys definitely know how to play high quality Funeral Doom Metal and transmite dark sensations through sorrowful and despairing emotions, with slow parts and melancholic keyboards, fantastic orchestations and changes of peace with agressive and brutal passages full of despair.

De Profvundi Clamati has released a new material on August 2013, that the enshrined as a prominent band of Funeral Doom Metal. This new release called “The Transylvanian Mountainside Aria” is the first websingle for their forth coming full album which will be entitled “The Vehement Shade of Passion” – Adagio Molto Maestoso e Appasionata Afetuosa”. The Transylvanian Mountainside Aria song is a perfect masterpiece, which in my opinion absolutely contains and reflects the full esence of the global concept of De Profvndi Clamati, the romantic tragic concept that compose the universe of the band. The orchestations are really amazing in this song, with brutal passages very cool and keyboards that are pure melancholy!

“Olden Winter Woods” is another fantastic song from this new websingle with great heavy guitars and a dark atmospheric sound, with perfect doom metal touches and some symphonic details. You can enjoy this track by clicking the following link.
