Summertime has been covered about 4000 times. One of the best can be found on Cheap Thrills, the classic Big Brother and the Holding Company album, with Janis Joplin on vocals. Last year Dutch blogger E-mile Says Songs Do The Matter posted 666 other versions of the George Gershwin classic. Over 50 hours of music ... some of it plain awful, but lots of pleasant surprises too.
