Conor Oberst’s Video for ‘Barbary Coast (Later) Paints a Portrait of Childhood [Video]

Veteran indie rocker Conor Oberst has released the video for his song “Barbary Coast (Later)” off his latest album Salutations.  The stunning short film, directed by Cris Gris, tells the story of three kids who follow a treasure map to go on a parentless adventure, which takes them through the woods, on a boat, and briefly to a Conor Oberst show.  The story plays out on February 13th (Conor’s birthday) and takes a charming look at childhood wonder.

Salutations was released March 17th, and is a companion piece to 2016’s critically lauded Ruminations, with full band versions of Ruminations’ 10 tracks.  Check out the video above.
