Coloressence Lipstick Poetry in Pink Review and Lip Swatches.

By Natasha Bhatt
Hi everyone,Hope you guys had a great weekend. Mine was a bit boring as I was at home itself. The rains seems to have disappeared and it is just too hot at the moment. Anyhow rains are predicted soon by the MET department so lets hope for the best. I hope you liked reading my last post which was a cruelty free brand and today I shall be reviewing one such lipstick which is a vegetarian and 100% cruelty free make up brand. I am talking about Coloressence here which is a product from the house of Nature's Essence line of skin care in India. They have been around for quite a while and have a decent line of products which are on the affordable side. I shall be reviewing Coloressence Lipstick in Poetry in Pink. Let us find out more about this lipstick in my review.

The lipstick comes in a matte black packaging with the brands name engraved on the cap. The packaging is simple yet classy. The cap click locks and shuts well which makes it travel friendly. The shade name and no. is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. There is a swatch of the shade at the bottom of the tube which makes life easy if you may have too many lipsticks. However I have noticed that with the new lot that they come up with the packaging has changed and it does not have the swatch at the bottom. Silly I would say. Anyhow for the price the packaging is good enough.

Coming to the shade it is a pinkie red. There is barely any shimmer to it just fine specks which are not visible to the eye at all nor they make your lips uncomfortable. It smells natural and pleasent due to the presence of basil and coriander extract. The lipstick's formula is creamy enough but not overtly creamy I would say it has a velvet matte finish but does not get too matte on the lips. But if you have dry lips I would suggest exfoliating and using a good lip balm before hand as you would not like having your lips look like they are flakey and chapped. The lipstick makes my lips look pouty.. I mean like I needed it right? ...Lol but then I like how saturated it is. You will need to go on your lips more than once to get the desired opaqueness. I would say 2 swipes would be good enough for the color to show up on the lips. Lasting wise it will last for atleast 3 hours or so a leave a pink tint on the lips but I did not find that it stained my lips. Overall I like this lipstick decent enough for the price. The Good:Easily available everywhere even online.Rich and saturated shade.Moisturizing - gives a velvet matte finish.Decent packaging.Contains SPF 15100% vegetarian and cruelty free.Smells pleasant.Travel friendly packaging. The not so Good:Complete ingredients list missing.Lasting wise could have been better.May be drying for some.Rating: 4.2/5I think for 150/- bucks it is fabulous shade. It is a red which will suit most skin tones unless you are not into dark lipsticks. I would highly recommend this shade to everyone. Do give it a try.I hope my review was helpful to all those reading. Please leave a comment below I do read them all.
