Coast Modern Offer up An Eclectic Mix of Jams for Your Summer Playlist

What better band to have dictate your summer soundtrack than Coast Modern? The duo, comprised of Luke Atlas and Coleman Trapp, hails from Los Angeles, the land of endless summer. And their own music reflects it — they produce song after song of cheery, danceable, mood-elevating synthpop. Their fun-loving spirits are reflected in this playlist, with a mixture of classics ranging from Nelly’s “Hot In Herre” to The Beach Boys’ “Girl Don’t Tell Me.” The variety makes it a definite crowd-pleaser — a full party in playlist form.

Read more about the playlist from the band below, and be sure to catch their up coming June 16 show at Rough Trade!

Summer isn’t just a season, it’s a seasoning to be sprinkled throughout your life. We chose these songs to play from the boombox on your floating lawn chair. The days are long, the nights are long, and you long for the days when you had nothing to do but dread school in September. – From your friends over at Coast Modern
