Cinnamon is the inner bark of a tree that grows mainly in India, China, and Ceylon.Cinnamon have many health benefits and have been used in India for its medicinal properties since ages. There are a lot of different types of cinnamon. Cinnamomum verum (Ceylon cinnamon) and Cinnamomum aromaticum (Cassia cinnamon or Chinese cinnamon) are commonly used.  Ceylon Cinnamon has ultra low levels (0.04%) of Coumarin. Cassia Cinnamon has high (5%) levels of Coumarin, a substance known to cause liver damage or complete failure if taken on a daily basis for extended periods of time. Before using any remedy for a serious condition, you should talk with your healthcare provider.

Help to keep your blood sugar under contol

Studies have shown that cinnamon is highly effective against type 2 diabeties.  It works  lowering blood sugar levels and increasing the amount of insulin production in the body.

Lowers heart reelated risks

It reduces LDL which is the harmful cholestrol and reducing it help in lowering the risk of  heart realted dieases. It also have blood thinning property which  helps it in acting as an anti clotting agent especially for those suffering from heart disease.

Anti bacterial and anti fungal

Cinnamon oil is a powerful  anti bacterial and can be used as natural disinfectant. According to study it  was found that it fight against E coli , Staphylococcus aureus , Aspergillus oryzae , and Penicillium digitatum.

Cinnamon has antifungal properties  fungus  cannot survive in a cinnamon environment.

Cinnamon has anti-oxidants properties which reduce the formation of  Free Radicals  that cause cancer. The antioxidant also help in repairing any damaged tissue in your body.

Helps in digestion

Packed with mineral manganese, fibre, essential oils and calcium  cinnamon helps to regulate the action of gastric juices on food, improves digestion. Its anti inflammatory properties helps reduce the inflammation caused due to indigestion, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and ulcers.
