Catching Up

By Gail Aguiar @ImageLegacy

Pookie the Dutch pub cat. Café de Draper, Amsterdam.

I have a lot of catching up to do! 2016 started out with deadlines instead of sleep. In the meantime, here are a couple of photos that Paulo took when we were in Amsterdam.

Pookie is a rescue cat found at a recycling plant, now a kitty of leisure living out her days in a cozy Amsterdam brown café with lots of gezellig called Café de Gaeper (Staalstraat 4). Pookie has a reputation for being a little… unpredictable. She’s been known to give a swipe or two. She’ll out-stare you. If Pookie could talk, she might say something like:

“Get out of that recycling plant and go live in a pub, Human!”
OR
“Give me your beer, Human!”

Don’t mess with Pookie.
