Performances

Joo Won is brilliant in the leading role. He goes through an amazing amount of punishment to get through the journey. The combat, chase and flying sequences are outstanding.

The supporting cast brings us a string of different enemies or allies along the way. They offer different obstacles for Carter to overcome. With the performances making the most of the eccentric figures in this world.

Story

The story follows an agent with no memory being guided in a rescue attempt of a young girl who could be the only cure for a deadly virus. This takes the agent on a non-stop journey against seemingly endless enemies to complete the mission.

Remarkably, this story is shot in a single-take format, giving us a real-time effect of the story. Even a flashback feels like a natural flow in the story. The story itself is a twist-filled story that constantly leaves you wondering who you can trust in the story.

The race to stop a serious deadly virus from spreading adds plenty to the story, as the race to do the right thing is everything for humanity’s survival.

Themes

Carter is an all-out action thriller that uses the single-take concept to take the action to new levels. What could be just gun fights, chases and combat aren’t all we get. There is a plane incident, massive set pieces. This is a style of action that never holds back and all you can do is praise the amazing stunts team for this movie.

Where to Watch: Carter is available on Netflix.

Final Thoughts Carter is a breathtakingly remarkable action movie.
