Carpeaux is a genuine and thought provoking folk rock artist from the Phillipines. By putting forward heartfelt lyrics that cover a wide range of themes, each of Mostly Novemdiales’ fifteen tracks manage to keep your attention – something which many folk artists fall down on. The songs are primarily guitar driven, with a selection of other instruments creeping in to pick up the pace a bit. All in all a brilliantly honest release.
