Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is an animated cartoon character, created by the staff of Leon Schlesinger Productions and voiced originally by the “Man of a Thousand Voices,” Mel Blanc. Bugs Bunny is, perhaps, the most recognizable and famous cartoon character. Looney Tunes were first created as lead-ins to feature films. Bugs first appeared as a n-name rabbit in 1938 in “Porky’s Hare Hunt.” Tex Avery later named him Bugs Bunny after the infamous West Coast mobster. Decades later, Looney Tunes cartoons became a Saturday morning staple.

Bugs Bunny (originally voiced by Mel Blanc) is an animated cartoon character, best known for his starring roles in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of theatrical short films produced by Warner Bros. during the Golden Age of American Animation. His popularity during this era led to his becoming an American cultural icon, as well as a corporate mascot of the Warner Bros. company.
