It is that time of year. With winter comes both dry skin and chapped lips. All of us need a little exfoliation from time to time. However, all too often we treat our body to a luxurious scrub. How often do we give the same attention to our lips? If you are like me, you may give them a little gloss, or maybe some lip balm, but ladies and gents, I think it is time we pay them a bit more attention. Don’t neglect those lovely lips. After all, a beautiful smile can easily brighten someone’s day. So don’t hide those lips, exfoliate them. Our brown sugar lip scrub recipe will gently do just that.

Brown Sugar Lip Scrub Total Recipe Weights
1.25 ounces Brown Sugar
1 ounce Natures Garden Lip Balm Base
1 ounce Sweet Almond Oil
10 drops Chocolate Bon Bons Flavor Oil
Begin by preparing your equipment, utensils, and packaging materials. This recipe will make seven lip scrubs. You will need seven of the 10 milliliter lip balm pots with natural lids. You will want to begin with a clean work area. Also, sanitize any equipment and packaging materials you will be using.
Brown Sugar Lip Scrub Recipe
First, we will weigh out the three main ingredients. Prepare your scale, make sure it is set to weigh in ounces. You will want to use three small bowls. Add one ounce of sweet almond oil to the first bowl. Add 1.25 ounces of light brown sugar to the second bowl. You will also need to use your scale to weigh out one ounce of the natural lip balm base. Make sure you are placing the base in a microwave safe bowl.
Next, we will begin melting the lip balm base. Melt it in the microwave in thirty second bursts. Be careful when melting. You only want to melt the base, you do not want to over-heat it.
Next, add one ounce of Natures Garden’s sweet almond oil. Mix well to blend the oil into the base. Then, add 10 drops of Natures Garden’s Chocolate Bon Bons Flavoring. This will give the scrub a wonderful chocolatey flavor. However, it is optional. You can also adjust the amount of flavoring you add to your liking.
Finally, add the 1.25 ounces of brown sugar to the melted base. Mix well to blend the sugar thoroughly. Now, add the scrub to the 10 ml lip balm pots. Place a lid on each jar.
