Browhaus HD Waterproof Mascara | Real-looking Boosted Lashes

By Blessmybag @blessmybag

There are mascaras and then there are MASCARAS, if you know what I mean. This is the first time that I've tried a proprietary product of a brand service. Without a doubt, here in the Philippines, Browhaus is your trusted brow authority. The U.S. has Anastasia and we've got Browhaus. Before brides get hitched and if they happen to be particular about their brows they schedule an appointment with Browhaus. They offer various services from brow reconstruction which involves grooming, definition with makeup application, and other special professional methods to achieve beautifully amplified but natural looking brows. Their HD waterproof mascara product is not new, in fact, shame on me, I was tapped like around 2 years ago as a blogger to pick this up to try and review...but at that time I was so busy with other things that I didn't get around to passing by Serendra. I remember texting apology upon apology about not being able to pass by. Then I forgot about it. Well, while on a stroll in Serendra I picked their lovely mascara up (properly so, at my expense) I also wanted to pick up one of their brow pencils but they were out of stock.Browhaus HD Waterproof Mascara | Real-looking Boosted Lashes

It's not a cheap mascara, understandably so being a specially formulated as a hands-on proprietary product. It's about mid-range to high-end at Php998. However, it performs like crazy and holds curl up. Read more and continue to the full post to see before and after shots.

Lashes look more like wet, doe-like lashes with a boost of black rather than crispy, made-up lashes (to achieve this you must go in with thin coats, scraping excess off the brush at the mouth of the tube). My mother's first comment when she saw my lashes was "Wow, they don't look like you put something, they look real!" It performs similarly to MAKE UP FOR EVER AQUA Smoky Lash but with less of a drying out problem. For the price, it's not cheap but I'm willing to pay for a repurchase in the future on the basis that this is a specially formulated product for a service brand that cares about its customers needs.

Obviously, I blobbed my mascara on my lid while applying in haste because the sun was setting LOL. So that's not a post-application smudge, folks. This was one of those spur of the moment blog posts. For base I'm only wearing Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer here.

The formula is lengthening and moderately volumizing at the same time. It's the closest local mascara I've come across which is kind of like a blend of three mascaras I've tried, L'Oreal Voluminous, MAYBELLINE Full 'N Soft, and L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof (a U.S. fave). It is waterproof and holds up a curl beautifully. You can get really big lashes if you layer it up to 3 coats.

The brush of this mascara is a lovely, slender, traditional bristle brush which really generously coats the lashes with product. For more volume, don't wipe off the excess on the mouth of the tube. For a more natural look, wipe off the excess between layers. Browhaus HD Mascara costs Php998 and is sold only in Browhaus branches.
