This collaboratio between Polish superstar Brodka and Speedy Wunderground’s in-house band (label boss Dan Carey, Oli Bayston and Liam Hutton) is the 35th single to be released in the label’s esteemed series. Brodka says the song is all about doing things, even though you know it could end badly: ‘Sometimes we are all drawn to a person or situation that is bad for us, so bad you want to set it on fire, but the desire is so strong, we can’t resist it’.
With hypnotic and melodic, dancey beats from the first note, the song sounds somewhat akin to Foals jamming out something that would have featured on an album by The Rapture – but with extra punk rock attitude. Brodka delivers her lines with infectious enthusiasm, especially when she says she’s ‘ready to explore’.
