BRANCHES Shared the Music that Inspired White Flag

Nestled brightly within BRANCHES’ lush harmonies, old spiritual undertones and Americana-leaning sound is something decidedly more pop-centric. Though the band sticks to their acoustic and organic base on their newest album, White Flag, they toss in elements that make the songs a bit stickier, with the same modern injection of sound we’ve come to expect — you can’t help but feel a little warmth and excitement from the pop melodies they serve up. To get a better handle on how White Flag came about, we asked the band to put together a list of songs that helped shape the album. Not surprisingly, we got back a list of somewhat recently-released tracks, all of which are helping to mold and re-define their genres, much like BRANCHES.
