Emotions are at an all time high there at the very busy household. After my scan last week it was confirmed that we are having a GIRL!
I was so moved I cried during the sonogram. I called the Mr. right after who was in South Africa for business and told him the news.
He was so happy, I could HEAR him smiling! This is major for him as he doesn't have sisters or girl cousins. In fact, he grew up with just boys (and his mom) so he has no experience with the ladies (ahem) at all.
Ruffles, bows and dresses, OH MY!
However the biggest surprise came when we was back home and he pulled this sweet little dress he bought in South Africa.
He said "I saw this and had to have it for her. I can't OUR baby will actually be IN it soon!" He was beaming when he gave it to me and we cried happy tears.
Of course we would have been thrilled if we were going to have another boy, but the thought of having a girl is just so new and foreign to us.
Naturally I started putting outfits together and thinking of all the pretty little dresses, boots, leggings and cute tops I will buy her. I'm broke just thinking of it all!
I found this pretty Stella & Dot Little Girls Foundation Bracelet and a rush of excitement came over me knowing this will go on a chubby little wrist.
Seriously, how cute is this dress?! The Mr. has great taste and I know that he will be an amazing papi to a little girl.
As for Little M, he always said it was a girl - so when I told him the affirmative he just stared at me then said "Si, mami. Yo te dije que es una niña/Yes, mami. I told you it was a girl" and went back to playing.
Well then, I should listen to my little man more often.
Currently: 19 weeks Niña/Girl due: 15th of February
