Light and Stylish! The NEW Maxi-Cosi Mico AP Car Seat

By Verybusymama @verybusymama
You know my battle with car seats — I pretty much despise them. Aside from having to use one by law for my children, I don't like to carry them because they weigh an insane amount, they are super clunky and they are not exactly a good looking piece of baby gear. Just like my strollers, my husband and I prefer all of our baby gear to be practical yet have a stylish element to them. After all, we will be pushing the stroller we have now or a few more years and we might as well like what we see.
When M was born in London in 2009 we didn't have a car, but in order to leave the hospital we had to get a car seat. I was instantly drawn to the smaller, more compact and lighter Maxi-Cosi car seat. It was compatible with our stroller and it was sleek.
I hadn't seen Maxi-Cosi in the US until recently when I was asked to be an ambassador for their new car seat launch. I instantly said YES, because I was already familiar with the product and trusted the brand. This month, they are launching their NEW Maxi-Cosi Mico AP car seat range.
Light and stylish! The NEW Maxi-Cosi Mico AP car seat
What makes the Mico AP so special? For starters it is the lightest infant car seat (when compared to similarly priced infant car seats as of April 2013) in its class. That right there won me over!
It also has an ergonomic handle for extra comfort when carrying (very important!) Oh and AP stands for Air Protect — as in Air Protect Side Impact Technology. The patent cushion system protects around your baby's head and each Mico comes with a multi-position sun canopy with a flip out visor.
I will soon have Little L riding around in style — I chose the blue one so I will let you know how well I can carry it and how compatible it is with our stroller.
Have you heard of Maxi-Cosi? Have you bought their products — what do you think?
