When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton's type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight, Judge Judy-loving best friend riding shotgun - but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl.My Thoughts: We meet again, John Green. In my opinion this was better than The Fault in our Stars. I'd rather see Colin and Hassan on screen, but if you're starting off with John Green this probably isn't the one for you. Read The Fault in our Stars.
This book is funny, filled with a shit load of dry humor, but still so, so funny. I mean I was literally laughing out loud reading this book. This book is  honest and very relatable, but not realistic. If you don't know what I mean, what I mean is: The people, the situations (not the road trip, formula making aspect) that the characters were in are relatable in the aspect that they could happen to you and I, but the character's reactions to the situations were not realistic, which could have been easily fixed in my opinion.
That made me not enjoy the book as much, since the I saw a little bit of myself in the characters, but it is still worth the read.  
 Colin is our main character and he's brilliant, socially awkward and unexpectedly has more game than I do, but he is whiny and kind of only really cares about himself, but you, as the reader, care about him, I don't know how, but you do. Then there's Hassan. Hassan is the crazy, larger than life best friend. Basically, he is me. I am Hassan; we are one. And that means Hassan is friggin' awesome.
There are also so many themes in this book, but they call can be taken differently depending on the person who is reading it. The take on relationships and how they work; the differences between dumpers and dumpees and also, how to find love in the most unexpected ways. An Abundance of Kathering shows people trying to find a meaning in their lives and instead find love. 
Therefore this is a great read, so, go out, go out and buy some John Green because you will definitely enjoy it.
