Bnny – the moniker of Chicago-based artist Jess Viscuis – has announced she has signed to Fire Talk records and shared the video for new single ‘Time Walk’. The single, which features on the soundtrack to the final season of Shrill, is ‘About the clarity you find when in motion – walking, driving, running. It’s about a friendship ending, but still feeling connected to the person. It’s about looking back while moving forward in slow motion.’
The 90-second slice of indie-pop opens with a blistering bass line and breezy hook that fall somewhere between emo, slacker pop and the more melodic stylings of Hop Along or The Shins. There’s also a satisfying sing-along element in the way Jess repeats the title.
