Blue Finch Film Releasing presents A Bittersweet Life, The Foul King and The Chaser on digital platforms from 8 April.

These must-see modern Korean cinema classics from acclaimed filmmakers Kim Jee-woon and Na Hong-jin, are exploding back onto screens, with The Foul King available in the UK and Ireland for the very first time.

Gangster Sun-woo (Lee Byung-hun) has worked his way up the ranks in his organisation, earning the trust of his callous crime boss Mr. Kang, who assigns him to spy on his mistress fearing she may be having an affair. When Mr Kang’s suspicions are found to be true, Sun-woo finds his life on the line when his choice to spare the mistress and her secret lover’s lives starts an irreversible gang war.


This ultra-stylish neo noir is written and directed by renowned filmmaker Kim Jee-woon (I Saw the Devil, A Tale of Two Sisters), and features a career-defining performance from international star Lee Byung-hun (Squid Game, I Saw the Devil), facing off against Hwang Jung-min (The Wailing, The Battleship Island).

THE FOUL KING


Song Kang-ho stars as Dae-ho, a timid bank clerk who is going nowhere in his everyday life. After meeting a famous former pro wrestler, Dae-ho transforms himself into wrestling villain The Foul King.

Available for the very first time in the UK and Ireland, the second feature from internationally acclaimed writer and director Kim Jee-woon (The Good the Bad the Weird, The Age of Shadows), comedy-drama The Foul King is led by actor Song Kang-ho, star of some of the biggest hits to come out of Korea in recent years including Parasite, Broker, Memories of Murder and The Host.

THE CHASER


A disgraced ex-policeman turned pimp Jung-ho catches the serial killer responsible for the disappearance of two of his employees. When the police believe both women to be dead Jung-ho finds himself in a race against time, with only twelve hours to find evidence that one of
the girls, Mi-jin, is still alive before police are forced to release the killer.


The feature debut from The Wailing and The Yellow Sea writer and director Na Hong-jin, The Chaser stars Kim Yoon-suk (1987, Escape from Mogadishu), Ha Jung-woo (The Handmaiden, The Yellow Sea) and Seo Young-hee (Bedevilled).
