From Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody comes their "Big Boy Pants Double IPA". This is the breweries first release from their new brewery only release. The beer pours an orange colour with an off white head. The aroma consists of floral hops, herbal, citrus and some resin. The flavour is of dank hops, resin, herbal hops, earth, pine, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits and bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 8.1% with an IBU of 65. This is an amazing Double IPA and I look forward to more from this line.
Commercial Description: Big Boy Pants is the first of a series of very heavily hopped Double IPAs. This beer was hopped with over 6lbs per barrel using Simcoe, Apollo & Columbus hops and finished with Mosaic lupulin powder. If you've ever wondered what putting your head into a bag of hops was like, take a whiff of this beer and you'll get a pretty good idea.
