There are times when I just don’t want to go out with makeup on either because I’m running late or I’m too lazy to go through my makeup routine. During those times, I just slather on sunblock on my face and I’m good to go.
It took me a while, though, to find a hypoallergenic sunblock that won’t break the bank. Thank goodness I tried Belo Essentials Sun Expert Face Cover SPF40 (whew, what a mouthful). It’s said to be hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and water resistant, among other things.
While I’m not one to just go with advertising, I can say that I did not break out at all with this nor did I get any rashes on my face (I have sensitive skin so rashes are common when a product doesn’t agree with me).
The texture is not too thick and, when blended properly, the product doesn’t leave a white cast even under flash photography (how cool is that?), at least in my experience. Also, upon application, it leaves a pretty sheen on the face, nothing oily-looking, just something like a subtle highlighter on top of the cheekbones. And you don’t even have to wait 15 minutes before you go out.
This 50 mL SPF 40 tube costs below 500 PHP. I think there’s also an SPF 60 Face Cover as well as a range for the body. Anyhoo, I still haven’t bought the Body range since I still have some of my Beach Hut sunblock, but I will when my BH runs out.
