When I can be bothered and am putting a full face of makeup on (usually the weekend) I love a good three-product lip. I am talking a full lip of liner, followed by lipstick and topped with a gloss. But for the most of the time, during the working week, I'll settle for a swipe of lipstick, or even a lip liner by itself, if it's good enough. Are theBalm's Pickup Liners (£14) good enough? Yes, yes they are. & I am bloody thrilled about it.
When I opened up this gem of a package, I squealed at the range of colours! From neutral browns to baby pinks to vibrant reds, as long as you are not into purple (none of that - sorry!), these lip liners have you sorted. They are wind-up crayon style pencils, so no sharpening needed - just make sure you don't wind it up too much when you use it as there is a possibility of snapping! Upon first application, I recognised just how creamy the pencils were, they apply so softly whilst still being precise. The color is almost identical to the coloured nib on the packaging, which is often rare with lip products as they can often be a bit off! The pigmentation is great and the product lasts relatively well, you only need to top up after a few hours if you're not eating and drinking - ideal for days in the office. They are a great base for lipsticks to accentuate the colour and are all round trooper lip product!
Are you a fan of lip liners? Or do you just go solo with your lippy and go? Let me know in the comments below, I'd love to know what youse use!
