That time of year is the perfect time to slap a lot of makeup on your chops if you want to, I know I did! Here's what I used...
I'm not a silver-sparkle kind of gal when it comes to my eyelids, I love to stick with bronze and gold tones as it seems to compliment my eyes better. The Collection #YourStyleYourMood Palette (£5.99) is such a beauty budget steal from the drugstore. It's packed with shimmers and I combined a few of the shades to create the look above. Although the shadows do need building up to be noticeable, it's not bad for a couple of pounds! I changed up my eyeliner game for the New Year and used the L'Oeal Super Liner (£6.99) which is a product I've always heard rave reviews about. It's a felt tip style pen with a really fine nib that helps to create precise lines. It's not as pigmented as I'm used to, but the shape of the tip allows for a really easy application - definitely one that I'll use more often!
To add some shape and color to my skin, the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit (£6.49) was the one this time. The little handy, travel-friendly palette has three shades, one to highlight, one to bronze, and one to sculpt - amazing! I would say that if you are any paler than me, to maybe stay away as they shades are rather dark once on the skin. They are brilliantly pigmented so you only need to use a small amount and a light hand to make the product work. Instead of using the highlight in this particular palette, I turned to the glistening wonder of the Sleek Solstice Highlight Palette (£9.99), which on packaging alone is a dream. Although they are shades I have certainly never used before, I was so pleasantly surprised. The highly pigmented shades really transfer to the skin well and glow beautifully when hitting the light. I used the purple shade (that's right!) on my brow and cheek bones and I have fallen head over heels for how it looks!
To finish off the look, I created an ombre lip effect with MAC's Russian Red and Girl About Town and I was ready to party! This wonderful lot came from the #BootsBeautyBox (not a subscription box, just gifted) which has created a a great party look and opened my eyes to new and exciting high street products! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below on the products, have you tried them before? Is this a look that you would go for?
