Beautiful Bags for Moms | NOT Traditional Diaper Bags

By Verybusymama @verybusymama
I love bags but I don't do diaper/nappy/mommy bags.
I have all sorts - some more convenient than others. Cross body, weekenders, satchels, fancy, casual, and now that baby number two will be with me by the end of the week, I am going to have to add some sort of roomier bag to that collection - or at least one that fits everything I need to take when I'm on the go. Notice I don't say diaper. I just shudder at the thought.
Truth is, I LOATHE the traditional mom/diaper bags with hideous designs that just SHOUT OUT "Look at me! I'm packed with wipes and bottles!"
With Little M I returned the bags that I received as gifts and opted for a comfy Cath Kidston messenger bag that fit over the stroller, was easy to carry and of course, stylish.
I absolutely insist you can find a bag to meet your mommy needs without falling into the diaper bag trap. Just like I stayed away from traditional maternity clothing, the same goes for my bags, unless they look SMASHING!
Here are a few of my favorite that you may want to consider whether you are a first time mama, doing it again for a second time or just want a little something new to tote around.
stylish bags, fashion bags, mom bags, timi and leslie charlie mustard, Gap, Old Navy, Danielle Nicole Washington DC stylist, Beijo Bags, Stella and Dot Cross Body, Cath Kidston Messenger, style moms
1. Gap Leather Stripe Tote  2. Danielle Nicole Carmen Tote  3. timi & leslie Charlie Bag 4. Show & Tell Beijo Bag  5. Isabel Grayson Tote 6. Stella & Dot Lafayette Cross Body Bag 7. Cath Kidston Spot Washed Messenger Bag 8. Old Navy Women's Striped Canvas Tote  9. Danielle Nicole Peyton Tote
And as you may have guessed, the hearts indicate that it is a Very Busy Mamá favorite! I own the Show & Tell bag in red that was sent to me by friend and stylist Nel Miranda and the Cath Kidston messenger in floral. I have yet to decide on which one I will be showing off with my little girl.
So what do you think? There are some beauties in there and they all have room for your baby/kid needs while still strutting your hot mama self all over town.
Now, here's the challenge, can you guess which ones are considered diaper bags?!
P.S. for all you Washington, D.C. and Maryland area readers, Danielle Nicole is a local designer!
