Story: Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts starts when Gotham comes under attack by a group of villains Killer Croc, Silverback, Cheetah, Man-Bat and The Penguin. They don’t normally work together, but the unusual behaviour sees Batman, Green Arrow, Nightwing, The Flash and Red Robin working together to stop them.

As the team comes together, The Penguin releases robotic animals that cause havoc in the city. The team must use their own skills to stop the threat and ends Penguin’s plan.

Verdict on Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts

Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts is an animated adventure for the caped crusader and friends. It follows them dealing with a host of animal attacks on the city as an unusual group starts working together. Batman must lead the group in defending the city and dealing with The Penguin.

This does feel like a safe animated movie that could easily have just been a 3- or 4-part series in an animated series. The movie doesn’t feel like a big threat, just like another one of the adventures about coming together as a team. It entertains for a solid hour but feels more like an average outing for the crew.

Final ThoughtsBatman Unlimited: Animal Instincts is a basic entertaining animated Batman tale.
