Arms Channels Elliott Smith with Cover of ‘ballad of Big Nothing’ [premiere]

ARMS is a forever favorite of ours. Both of his full-lengths blew us away and basically every time ARMS plays live, we’re in the front row. With this in mind, when we heard that Todd Goldstein was releasing an album of covers, basically our favorite musical device of all time, we were over the moon. There are plenty of gems on the record, but we’re absolutely honored to premiere his take on one of our favorite Elliott Smith songs. ARMS does a lovely job capturing the original spirit of “Ballad of Big Nothing”, keeping its fragile heart intact while still adding that essential newness to make it an interesting listen.
