Arise India!

Posted on the 12 January 2013 by Saurabh2461986 @saurabhslounge
It's merely a month past  after the most dreadful incident of the century has happened in the heart of our country.  The incident left us all aghast. The unforgettable cruel act against humanity came into light that night. The extent to which the humans can drop below their standards were brightened. But do any one of us has the answers to questions that have been left unanswered till date? No! These questions will remain unanswered till we ourselves find an answer to them!
Arise India! First of all the main question is the reason why these crimes are increasing. Is it the wrong dress? Is it the wrong code of conduct? Or is it something to do with man's mentality?   Blaming each other or the government and the system is very easy task to brush off the dirt on your own shoulders. But the reality is that we all have to face the consequences one day or the other. The point that hurts me is that even after seeing the consequences we don't learn. Below I would like to share my opinion which, I believe can help in curbing this issue once and for all.
Reason #1: Believe it or not, we all are lethargic
Don't get me wrong with this one! The actual thing which I mean is that when we all need to do some work, we all act as lazy sloths. The best example I can quote is that when we have to go to a party or any celebration, we instantly jump from our chairs and move on like we have drunk lots of Red Bull. But at the time of voting, We all just sit in the comforts of our homes sticking our eyes to the idiot box abusing each and every political entity.on this planet. I can still recall a most accurately framed excuse by my friend when I asked him to whom he will vote. The next instant came an expert answer 'Yaar, ek vote se kya hojayega? ( what will happen by just one vote?). The very next moment he was sleeping comfortably in his quilt.
I was so shocked by that lousy answer. Why don't we realize that these small one one votes will create a swarm of votes which can make it possible for the most deserving person to win the elections? If you all can realize then think about it. If you say that 'ek vote se kya hojayega (what will happen by just one vote?)' then he government will also say that 'ek rape se kya hojayega? (what will happen by one rape?)'! Lets preach that from now that we all will vote encouraging others to also vote. Remember, You didn't vote so you have no right to blame the system for all the wrong happening in the society.
Reason #2: We are always too late
This one needs no introduction. Be it office, be it a date, be it marriage or anything. There are n number of things to count. But in this context, I mean that we always run behind the train when the train has already departed. Like in this case, when the victims were lying without clothes on road waving their hands to each and every passerby, no one came to help! Later on when media created a hype, we all started candle march to protest the heinous incident that overshadowed the season.
Why? For the victim or for ourselves? I leave the answer to you all as I a not the right person to comment. If we would have taken this step when this cannibalistic crime had started making steps, this day wouldn't have been seen by us all. We all let things happen, see and move on. No one tries to change it as everybody is busy Facebook-ing and tweeting in this not so social world. In order to stop things to happen in future we should stop it the moment it starts or else wait and watch the devastation as it grows bigger and bigger.
Reason #3: We don't do homework
This one would not be unknown to you all. I am not talking about the school homework here but the preparation before the most important step aka voting! We literally close our eyes and vote without knowing the candidate's past, his achievements, his calibre, and most importantly the changes what he will bring in the country if he is the chosen one.  One request to all of you, please if you are sincerely voting, please do your homework before doing so. Its going to benefit only you no one else!
Reason #4: We don't know what we want!
Demands! Demands! Humari maange poori karo! (Fulfill our demands!) This is most common thing that we all make daily. But have a close look at your demands. Does it solve the actual purpose? No! As in this case we all demanded a law to be formed to punish very strictly the culprits who commit such crimes. Do you think crimes will stop if law is made? There are already infinite laws made which are written in ink and they rest in dust at a corner of a dark room waiting for their turn in a never ending queue to be implemented.
All that is needed to implement the law in a way it is intended to be. Nothing will happen by making of law. Several others are already made which don't even have their existence felt. We should demand not for the law, but the implementation of law!
Finally, I hope that we all learn from this gaffe which has taught us something which we don't learn from the incidents that are so rife. Arise India!
An ode to the brave heart who fought for life against all odds:
Pain and sorrow bereft of you Thy effort will not go vain Like a pagan, I pray for thou We all will do it with fain
You stood up like a tree We will bring it out of trivia Unaware if it takes time or a wee Its high time now, arise India!
If we realize the pain she went through, we will surely make the change happen once and for all!
