And I'm Back! With Insidious: Chapter 2 Review
Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)
Starring: Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty SimpkinsSummary: A husband and wife seek to uncover the secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.
My Thoughts: Insidious Chapter 2 starts off really slowly and it picks up and keeps going and going and then, dammit, it ends and you're stuck wanting more. I am a very big fan of Insidious, I've seen it multiple times and I really do love it a lot. I knew coming into it that it wouldn't be better than the first one. And that mindset it really good to have, but this movie was really good.

This movie relied more on building a new story, a new world and I loved that because lots of movies want to just scare you more, I really wanted to see a good story. BUT I WAS SCARED. I actually had to use the bathroom during it because I had gotten scared. I really enjoyed not only that, the acting was magnificent. It was the same as the first one, but this was different because it was a genuine part two! When lots of horror movies make sequels, they usually don't connect to the first one as much as I'd like, but Insidious was different. I kind of wish that they would have explored the spirit world a bit more, but that's a minor dislike. Another thing I was hoping for was a little more creaking, a little more "things-moving-in-the-background", but I just enjoy that kind of movie personally. For Insidious, it wasn't a necessity though, I can just wait for Paranormal Activity 5 for that, hahaha.Very clever, scary movie. Definitely worth going to see in theaters.

(Sorry for the lack of posts in like months, I was busy with work and school and just life and general, but officially I am back with reviews. And as of October 12, 2013, only horror-related reviews. Woo! And I am going to pimp out the blog all Halloween-y. Well, try to. Any reviews you really want to see, I will go out and see them any books you want me to read, I'll go buy them. Tell me in the comments, alrighty? Bye.)
