This lipgloss is soooooooooooo good! I'm not even kidding, it deserves every 'O' in that 'SO' and, probably, much more. Let's start from the very beginning though. I'll tell you how happened I fell in love with lipgloss.
This spring, in addition to 3 already existing permanent colors, Clarins released 3 new shades to it's Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector: Candy Shimmer, Petal Shimmer and Rosewood Shimmer. Of course, I had no idea, I just needed a new lipgloss instead of my Clinique one. So I went to Rive Gauche hoping to get something exciting and I did! Candy Shimmer is a perfect My Lips But Better shade that brings that special little something to the way my lips look and feel. The proof, as usual, is in a picture!
Perfect gel-like texture, making my lips smooth and soft. Not sticky. Sweetest vanilla smell, not a bad taste too, which is a big plus for me; I hate chemical taste on my lips, forgiving it only to Bobby Brown Lip Balm. The name, Lip Perfector, is a well deserved one too. It makes my lips look fuller, the shine and shimmer are very subtle, nothing gaudy. It's perfect for the no-makeup days, but I think it would also look incredible over some nude lipstick, something like Chanel Rouge Coco #35 Chintz or MAC Angel. It swatches differently, on my hand it looked like a perfect baby pink, on my lips it looks more subdued and soft. Here is a swatch.
Oh, well, enough rambling! I suggest you give it a try when it appears in your country or region. You would NOT be disappointed!
