The Patrouille de France is the precision aerobatic demonstration team of the French Air Force and undertook a U.S. tour to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the United States entry into World War I to fight alongside the French.  This show at Mather was the first American appearance of this new military transport.  This A400M aircraft is used for support personnel and cargo transport, but also participated with a flight demonstration.  The A400M Atlas uses four of the most powerful turboprop engines in the West to enter service. The propellers on each pair of engines turn in opposite directions to reduce prop wash and yaw in case of in-flight engine failure.  Entering service in 2013, more than 170 of these aircraft are on order.  Nikon D500 w/ Tamron 150-600mm, processed with Aperture.
