While parked on the taxiway waiting for our takeoff slot to open, I was fortunate to capture this Lufthansa flight arriving at LAX. The Lufthansa A340’s I’ve seen at my local airports usually carry the Star Alliance livery. The -600 provides similar passenger capacity to a Boeing 747 but with 25 percent more cargo volume, and more economical operating costs. Lufthansa operates 16 of the -600 variant.
