This Frontier flight is on final approach to Colorado Springs Airport prior to the start of the 2017 Pikes Peak Regional Airshow. The A319 is a shortened-fuselage variant of the Airbus A320 designed to compete with the Boeing 737-700, 53 were operated by Frontier before their retirement in 2021. This type was replaced by the Airbus A320neo. Frontier features wildlife photography on the tail of each aircraft, seen here is Erma the Ermine. First flown in 1995, 1,500 A319s have been delivered.
