Agitagueda Art Festival

By Vikasacharya

Agitagueda art festivalEvery July, as part of Agitagueda art festival, hundreds of vivid umbrellas are hung over promenades in the streets of Agueda, a municipality in Portugal. The beautiful tradition started only 3 years ago, but has already earned world fame for the place. The people loved it so much that the repetitive nature of the installation does not carry the risk of becoming boring, but rather turning into a wonderful tradition.During the months of summers when you are looking for shade, you will be amazed to see how the umbrellas give this effect. Colorful umbrellas all around paint the city so beautiful that you forget all about the heat and the summers. It is a treat for the people around.
