Hello Metalheads! I’m going to introduce today a new Black Metal band from Greece called Adventum Diaboli, which has released a new album entitled “Rise Of The Pagans”.
Adventum Diaboli is formed in September 2012 by three guys which started a musical project based in the Old School Black Metal sound, using also the characteristic fashion of this style, apreciated on their clothing, sinister make up and their albums cover artwork created directly by the members of the band. We can note their inspiration and influences from the Old School Black Metal music through their compositions and their dark, depressive and satanic lyrics, finding on the Scandinavian Black Metal bands their most marked musical influence.
Under the names of Leviathan, Mephisto and Panas, these guys develop their musical project called Adventum Diaboli, whose Latin name means “The Arrival Of Satan”. In my opinion, this is a great name which reflects perfectly the global concept of the band based on hate to Christianity and the distorted world that it represents.
These guys are decided to change the metal scene of Volos (Greece) and Adventum Diaboli has recorded various albums until date. One split album with Darkhel, one demo and two full-length albums called “Lies Of The Priest” and “Luciferium”, in which we can find recommended tracks for old school Black Metal lovers like the fantastic “Lies Of The Priest”, “Burn The Church”, “Right Hand Of The Anti-God” or “Black Holocaust”.
These guys have worked on all the process of their recordings with their own equipment, they have made their own mixing and production and also the albums cover artwork. After I have listened their music, it reminds me memorable days when I enjoyed fantastic tapes before the era of the cd and digital recordings, their music sounds really as the great and old underground recordings, I think this is something of great merit and shows that these guys work hard developing Adventum Diaboli by their own means.
Despite of that dirty sound on the recordings, we can apreciate a great and crude Black Metal sound creating a dark ambient very cool with a flavor annexd and full of pagan elements which not dissapoint to Old School Black Metal lovers.
These Greek guys have released in 2013 their third full-length album called “Rise Of The Pagans”, this is the new assault from these Black metallers from Volos, that contains eight tracks in which Hellenic pride, paganism and the ancient Greek mythology have a great presence. Songs like “Rest In Hades” or “Medieval Pagan Rites” are cool tracks in the album and the song which gives the album its titled is another recommended track, that you can enjoy by clicking the following link.
