J100When I pick an artist to review the music, which then helps promote their music I want it to be something that I really truly love and believe in.  I also like it if it is able to have a message in the song as well.  When I was listening to Aaron Childree’s album, “Above The Norm”, it was able to do that and more for me.

The album starts off with an amazing song called “It Starts With a Spark”.  What I love about this song is the amazing beat that is able to hold your attention for the whole song.  I also love how when he starts singing he took away some of the instruments and as the song gets closer to the chorus he adds more and more in.  Once he is then to the chorus he comes in with a bang and all of the instruments and everything is there.  Then after the chorus is done he does the same thing again.  This is a great way too keep my listening to the song to see what is going to happen next.  This is really a great start to the whole album and really a must get song.  This song is also great for cursing down the highway.

The next song that is another must have (and this has been a very hard choice to make) is “Build It On Your Own”.  I love how this is a little more raw and he is able to show a different side of him.  Then when that chorus kicks in he give you everything.  The lyric to this song pull me in every time.  Along with his voice that is just spot on.  You need to listen to this and song and once you do that you need to hit the download button.

The last song that I am going to touch on is called “The Toll Love Takes”.  This song is much more raw then “Build It On Your Own”.  The lyrics in this song hold so much emotion and that is really hard to find in music now days.  This is really what every girl wants to hear a guy say to her (hint hint guys).  I can also see this being used in a TV show or Romantic/Comedy movie.

This album is really a must get.  I say this because every song on here is very well done and is able to keep my attention the whole time.  Aaron is able to go from a song that is great for driving to a very emotionally song.  To me that makes an amazing artist.  This album is getting 5/5 stars from me.  So head over to iTunes right now and download this you won’t be mad that you did.
