A Week in The Life of Me

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
My life is not overly exciting to many people..I did not take any summer classes so I could help take care of my family (plus I only needed one class that is also offered in the fall so it didn't make sense to pay all of the fees), I work from home, I blog all of the time, and I spend the vast majority of my time enjoying every possible second with my family. But to me, it is fun, rewarding and keeps me on my toes.  I joined Instagram last week and have been loving it.  So for those not following me on there, I would like to share some of my favorite pictures and give the story behind them.  Plus I always think it is a good idea to know more about the person behind the blog.
A Week in The Life of Me
1.) My grandfather discovered a new frozen yogurt place near their house and he invited my mom and I to check it out one day.  We have been there a few times since and have taken my grandmother. Before that, we eat a pizza place so this is becoming a tradition. This was from my first time there.  I got chocolate yogurt with a little cookies n cream topped with caramel bits, sprinkles and white chocolate.  I switch it up a bit every time we go.  My favorite topping is the passion-fruit bobos.

2.) Every beauty blogger and makeup lover out there can relate to this one.  My left arm is almost always stained with some lipstick, gloss, eyeliner or eyeshadow.

3.) I almost never drink any kind of energy drinks.  Other than straight coffee, that is.  But I did not go to bed until 6:30 am and woke up at 10:30.  By 6:30, I felt dead.  I have become an insomniac of sorts simply because I get all kinds of ideas at night.  And I have to stay up to watch Jimmy Kimmel.  Have to...  Anyhow, this Starbucks Energy Shot did the trick.  It tasted really good, too.

4.) I love clouds and the sky.  They are natural masterpieces and you never see the same thing twice.  This was taken on the way back to my grandparents from getting frozen yogurt.  This land has not changed since my grandparents moved into the area.  I am from (and grandparents still live) in one of the fastest growing counties in metro Atlanta, so it is wonderful to see something that is untouched and remains the same.  You would never think we are just 30 min from Atlanta.

5.) Kelly is my 7 year old yellow lab that I love to death.  She is the best dog and has such a big personality.  One of her favorite things to do is ride around the yard on our golf cart.  Put her on that thing for 30 min, and you will never see a happier dog.  My mom, stepdad and I make it a point to do this a few times a week.  It is fun for us, too.

6.) Saturday night is brush cleaning night.  I use Sephora's Brush Cleaning Shampoo because it easy to use and effective.  My favorite eyeshadow brushes also make an appearance.

7.) Sunday and Monday are the days I work on my article. I also try to get a general idea for what blog posts I want to do for the week,  I have a favorite notebook I use to take notes and jot down any ideas.  I have always dreamed of going to Rome, so it was love at first sight with that notebook.  And of course I have to wear my handy glasses.

8.) Today I had lunch with my best friend and went to Nordstrom to get some things for my mom by Estee Lauder and Guerlain.  Nordstrom is currently having their anniversary sale, so it was packed and they had a lot of exclusive gifts with purchases.  I was actually having a good day, which lasted until I walked outside.  The Guerlain gift was incredibly nice and I was really pleased with what they included.  The Estee Lauder gift is also nice.  I will have a separate post on those coming up.  The last pic is the view from the parking lot.  It is looking out onto a region of Atlanta called Buckhead, which is considered the upscale area of Atlanta.  It is nice, but a lot of the people are too snobby for my taste.
And just because I love this picture of the sunset in my backyard, I will finish with that :)
