A Taste of Spain

I love food!  Most kinds really, I’m not too fussy.  I also love to cook.  I’m not great at it but I do like to try!  I think I do an OK job at most cuisines.  Italian I find quite easy and cook a lot of pasta dishes, homemade pizza (I know, I know there is probably a lot more to Italian food!); I can cook an OK curry and love making Sweet n Sour.

The one thing I do love is Spanish food and in particular Tapas, however, it is never really something I have tried doing myself.  I can cook a good paella if I buy good quality ingredients but that is as far as my Spanish cuisine goes!

Big Mr A and I have talked about going exploring around Europe when the children are older and one place I would love to go is Spain.  I would love to visit the Costa Brava and sample authentic Spanish Tapas and hopefully come away with some great ideas to try at home.  I have read there is lots of seafood dishes to try too which I absolutely love!  Give me a plate of king prawns and I’m a happy lady!

I have chosen the Costa Brava rather than a more remote area as there is lots to do there with children too.  Plenty of beaches and water parks as well as the gorgeous Spanish architecture.

Because we would be guaranteed great weather Big Mr A might even be able to tempt me to stay in a tent or static caravan!  There are some great campsites about and would be much cheaper than staying in hotels, and also more practical with children in tow!  Al Fresco Holidays have some lovely looking campsites in the Costa Brava region that look very tempting!

I would love to hear your experiences of Spain if you have visited!  Any tips appreciated!
