A Hollywood Make-Up Haul

A Hollywood Make-Up Haul

I have recently been away on holiday enjoying myself far too much over the past few weeks with a little adventure in LA covering Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Malibu, Santa Monica then ending up in Las Vegas for Halloween (again) which was an amazing trip and now I find myself eagerly wanting to live in LA especially Beverly Hills - oh my, I have fallen in love with LA and can see why so many people flock there that want to make it in TV or film as the whole area is like a movie set all in itself with A-listers on every corner, film premieres & parties galore and movie meetings taking place over breakfast, I for one would live there

tomorrow although holidays are never a true picture of reality I for one know that living in Monaco, but it does offer a 'whole lotta' beauty goodies! I love the shopping and oh yes, a Pretty Woman shopping splurge did take place (*walks down Rodeo Drive quoting "Big mistake, huge!").

I won't chatter on too much and make this an 'all about my trip blog post' or it shall be never ending but as you may have gathered I of course did some great beauty shopping whilst there as I went armed with a list of beauty goodies that I wanted that are only available state side, so I made it my mission to make-up shop which is pretty standard with me anyway.

I adore Sephora U.S. as its so much bigger than the ones that we have here in France and I thought they were big, but they offer a lot of american brands that are hard to source locally or online. I do love a shopping haul so I thought I would share exactly what make-up items I picked up before I start using and hopefully review further on my blog should they get the KelliLash thumbs up. It's always good to get inspiration from what other people buy and gives us all new make-up ideas. So first up ....
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette - This was what I wanted most of all as it is such incredible value for what are amazing quality products and this palette contains 3 full sized blushers for half the price of what they would cost individually and in dollars its an incredible saving! I am so excited about using this but I just can't stop admiring the beautifully packaging - just simply stunning.

*New* Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette - My Naked Basics 1 gets used daily so I knew that this was instantly a worthy purchase. The shades are more warmer as opposed to the original palette but I highly recommend either one to anyone as its the perfect everyday go to eyeshadow palette that also travels well being so small. Very excited to use this!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal  - I am popping my Becca cherry with this purchase as I have yet to try anything from the brand as this has always been sold out every time (sign of a good product) but I managed to get my hands on it and oh my, its one of the most amazing highlighter powders that I have even seen. In real life this looks like diamonds have been applied to your skin - it is simply beautiful and so happy to have this in my collection.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Make-Up Forever Aqua Cream Eyeshadow in 13 - I think I have mentioned just how amazing this is before but this really and truly is the best cream eyeshadow I have ever used and this rose gold shade makes the perfect base for my everyday look. Its so easy to use and stays put all the day long. I gradually want to have every shade so I am stocking up!
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Sephora Hair Bands - I always stock up on these when I see them as they do not snag or kink your hair when you tie it back. I use these at night when I go to sleep to keep my hair out of the way and always keep a good stock as like mirky grips/bobby pins, they always seem to disappear - god knows where too?!
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Anastasia Brow Wiz - As recently blogged about here this is something I cannot live without so I stocked up! I bought two different shades this time, Dark Brown and Ash Brown as they are very similar but Ash is slightly lighter for when I want a more lighter brow look.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Inglot Black Liquid Eyeliner - This is the best liquid eyeliner I ever used so again I stocked up as its quite hard to source locally and its really inexpensive. I highly recommend this liner if you struggle to apply it or you do indeed love liquid liners as it so so easy to use and stays perfectly in place with a real black finish.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Sephora 57 Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush - I am a massive fan of the Sephora Pro line brushes as the quality and results from them is perfection. I picked up the concealer brush for blending but would also be great for cream highlighter too.
MAC 168 Angled Blush Brush - I have been meaning to buy this brush for ages as its the perfect size cheek brush and being angled it helps to place your blush perfectly and is great to contour with.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
MAC Harmony Blush - This shade is like gold dust as its been impossible to track down as I have been searching for it for months now so I am very happy I finally got my hands on one. I use this as a contour shade rather than a blush itself as its a great matte shade and suits many skin tones.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
MAC Indianwood Paintpot - I am becoming quite a fan of cream eyeshadows recently and I bought this one to use under the eyeshadow Tempting (below) as used together it gives the most beautifully antique bronze eye that is great for day or night.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
MAC eyeshadows in Cranberry (Frost) & Tempting (Lustre) - Two shades that I have been wanting to add to my collection for a while so I am very excited to use them, especially cranberry as it can look quite scary being a red but it honestly looks amazing when blended with other warm shades and its perfect for the autumn/winter season.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Buxom Mascara - This was my 100 point perk so it was free as I chose to save my other points as nothing really grabbed me enough to want to try out but a new mascara is always good to try so I shall look forward to seeing what it does!
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Cream Compact in Beige 20 - This was actually an LA Airport purchase as I was feeling in need of a skin pick me up seeing as I had a long journey back home ahead of me. I wear the fluid version of this foundation daily so I thought having it in a handy compact version was perfect for on the go and for the handbag plus the packaging is is just so classy as per usual. I am keen to see how this compares to the fluid version so I shall keep you posted!
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Sephora Lipgloss in 53 - I have used this a few times and its gorgeous! For Halloween I was looking for a red gloss to wear over my red Armani lipstick just to add some texture and sparkle to my lips (I was dressed up in Vegas as a Gatsby girl!) so I chose this one as it was very inexpensive and very sparkly and I absolutely love it and know I shall wear it a lot. I highly recommend these glosses as they really are glossy but not sticky at all.
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
Bobby Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Pink Sequin - I seem to have a lip gloss addiction this month by the few that I bought on this trip but again this was a little LA Airport purchase before leaving as me and my very good friend Jen (aka twinny who shall be reading this!) decided that we would buy a matching gloss (as girls do) to remind us of our trip and when we spotted this pink, sparkly one, we were sold!
A Hollywood Make-Up Haul
MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Pink Pearl Pop & Cremesheen Gloss in Richer, LusherMy lip addiction grew and I bought this really nice natural bright pink combo as I fancied a new lip shade for the day as holidays have a habit of making you want new things! They are a great duo together or separately if you want a nice coral pink lip.
