4 Out Of 10 Americans Would Support Impeaching Trump
Donald Trump has only been in office for a couple of weeks, but already about 40% of the public would support his impeachment. And among women, ages 18-29, Blacks, and Hispanics, that support is stronger for impeachment than against it. That's incredible, and has never been even close to that for any other modern president.
I suspect this 40% thinks, as I do, that Trump is already violating the U.S. Constitution's emoluments clause by refusing to separate himself from his business interests -- which puts himself in a position to further enrich himself by the decisions he makes, and encourages other countries to use Trump businesses as a way to incur favor with Trump. Trump has set up his administration to be the most corrupt in this nation's history.
The chart above was made from information in a new Public Policy Polling survey -- done on January 30th and 31st of a random national sample of 725 registered voters, with a margin of error of 3.6 points.
