THE SHOWS
The Bachelorette Don't get excited, I'm not REALLY watching it, but I worked late last night and turned my TV on at 8:11pm, there were these 2 people I've never met before on my screen. They were there with Chris Harrison, who I only know from talk shows, and some random ultrasound technician with an ultrasound machine live on TV. Turns out Ashley and J.P. a former couple from either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, I have no idea which, are apparently still together and very pregnant and decided to find out ON TV what the sex of their unborn baby was. OMG people this was SO ridiculous, and yet…I stayed tuned-in until I found out the sex of this couples baby. They had a giant screen where we could see the heartbeat, the ear etc. and the tech with the cold jelly helped Ashley with her tricky top so we could see her belly with all the jelly on it as we waited for the verdict. Cue the cheesy music, cue the cheesy jokes and… DUN, DUN DUNNNNNN J.P. and Ashley are having a baby boy! Okay I had to change channels immediately or I totally could have gotten sucked in. Whewwwww I made it.
Next was the Yankee game they were tied at 1 in the 4th and ended up losing 4-2.
The Fosters
Couldn't find anything else of interest, so I decided to hit Netflix (see below) and check out The Fosters. I was away over the weekend and was told, convincingly, by my friends and loyal readers, Kristina and Shoshanna that I HAVE to watch The Fosters. I'm 6 episodes in to the first season at this point. I'm into Lena and Steph and their family. They are a biracial lesbian couple. Steph (played by Teri Polo of Meet the Fockers) a cop, was previously married to Mike (her cop partner) the father of her biological son Brandon. She dumped him for Lena her beautiful biracial partner, who is the vice principal of a charter school that happens to be located on the ocean. In addition to 17 year old Brandon, Steph and Lena fostered and adopted twins Jesus and Marianna who just had a Quincineria. (That means they are 15). If that wasn't enough kids, they also JUST began fostering Callie and her little brother Jude. Lots of drama, lots of family stuff, everyone seems to be having sex. Some use protection some don't and Steph and Lena seem to be okay with almost anything. Is it a coincidence that Mike, Steph, Brandon, Jesus and Marianna's last name is Foster? I think it is, but it's ABC Family, so I went with it. Don't give anything away. I'll be caught up within a week.
THE OTHER STUFF
-I guess most people do find Louis C.K.'s show, Louie, funny. I'm just not one of them. It's nominated for 5 Emmy's and just got renewed for a 7 episode 5th season. I keep trying to like it, especially because I really like Louis C.K. So far, I'm still not getting it.
-Another show I didn't get was Fargo on FX and that too was just renewed for another season. The 10 episode 2nd season will feature an entirely new cast and will be set in a completely different time period. So maybe in the new version I'll like it? Highly unlikely.

-Netflix just crossed the 50 MILLION Subscriber mark. 50 MILLION PEOPLE!!! Netflix added half a million US subscribers in 2Q. 36.2 million subscribers are from the US with the other 13.8 million from 40 other countries. If anyone finds a Netflix infographic anywhere I'd love more info on viewership trends and demos. Netflix holds a lot of this info close to the vest. Hey Reed...come on give me some info! It's all good, why not share?

I NEED YOUR HELP
Going on my yearly vacation to LBI at the end of August. WHAT SHOW SHOULD I BINGE ON? It could be old or new.
