2021 JUNO Awards Nominations!

By Phjoshua @thereviewsarein

Nominees for the 50th annual have been announced, with 225 nominations across 42 categories. The awards will be broadcast across Canada on Sunday, May 16 at 8 PM on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music and at !

Super Bowl halftime show star, The Weeknd leads the way with six nominations (Fan Choice, Single, Album, Artist, Songwriter, and Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year), with Jessie Reyez, JP Saxe, and Justin Bieber close behind with five nominations each. And from those big names all the way through the list, great talent, great Canadian talent, is recognized for their work.

Notable special awards at the 2021 JUNOs will also include Jann Arden's induction to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Humanitarian Award which will be presented to The Tragically Hip.

As a celebration of Canadian music, art, creativity, and success, the JUNO Awards matter. It's important to remember that not every artist will ever win, or even be nominated, but the awards are ours, they celebrate our talent, they reward and recognize our artists, and that's worth celebrating in itself.

Now, scroll through the list below (yes, it's long) and see the nominees in all of the 2021 JUNO Awards categories.

And, don't miss your chance to vote for JUNO Fan Choice presented by Freedom Mobile on TikTok and at junofanchoice.ca.
