  The Modern Grad is a professional blog created by Shannon Callarman for young women who are graduating, in the process of graduating, or wanting to better their career. Shannon is a senior at the University of Illinois at Chicago graduating in May 2011. She knows the struggles that young women are going through during the economic downfall. She created the blog in hopes to reach out to other smart, young, and creative women to keep high spirits for better futures.
