ZTE Grand X Max Coming to the US in October

ZTE has announced a new, more high-end smartphone, called the Grand X Max, that should go on sale on October 10. The handset measures 162 mm x 83 mm x 7.8 mm, and comes with a 6” 720p display. It’s a massive device, for sure, so let’s see what else it packs.

Grand X Max

The Grand X Max sports a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of built-in storage that you can easily expand thanks to a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). On the back of the phone is an 8-megapixel camera with a LED flash, and there’s a 1-megapixel shooter in the front for selfies. Though, sadly, they won’t be high-quality as the ones found in other popular flagship phones.

The Grand X Max might not be a champion when it comes to its specs, but it does have a 3,200mAh battery powering it, which should result in the phone having a long standby time. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat, but there’s still no information whether or not it will have ZTE’s custom UI on top.

The ZTE Grand X Max won’t be able to challenge flagship smartphones, but it might just become a competitor for those mid-range handsets out there. What do you think?
