Star Trek Beyond is an upcoming sci-fi film featuring Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho and Anton Yelchin who are all reprising their roles from the 2013 film Star Trek Into Darkness. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their roles as Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock, plus Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella will join in on the space ride as they join the awesome cast of this sequel.
In this third installment of the reboot series, the USS Enterprise crew has been attacked by a powerful unstoppable wave of unknown aliens, who destroy the Enterprise, leaving them stranded on a new planet where they find themselves in conflict with a new ruthless enemy, while finding a way to get off the planet.
Star Trek Beyond is scheduled with a release date of July 22, 2016 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise. The film is the thirteenth film in the Star Trek film franchise and is directed by Fast & Furious director Justin Lin.
