Young learners have always been an inspiration to other learners who tried and were compelled to learn foreign languages, whether the learner is young or not. For the past posts, young learners served as examples to allow language learning penetrate into our lives because it plays a very important role in various aspects of our lives—whether it would be for our career, personal, or educational advantage.

And just these recent days, Daily

Record posted another article related to young language learners. For as young as fourteen years old, Bruce Baillie-Hamilton is capable of speaking six different foreign languages prior to English.

Unbelievable, or is it not? Such an honor was given from his own parents and even country that he was granted a credit as the most multi-lingual child in the UK.

According to the source, Bruce started learning Russian at home and then took up Mandarin “for a challenge”. After that, he then decided to take Arabic. What’s amazing with this boy is that he was able to achieve grade A in each of the learned languages mentioned, and in fairness, at AS level!

We’ve mentioned that he was named as the most multi-lingual child in the UK, right? Just so he was named publishers Harper Collins under-15 in a competition run. Based again on the said news, Bruce triumphed after showing judges he could communicate in each of his seven languages and deal with situations that might arise while traveling. In fact, he also had to describe experiences and events, dreams and ambitions, and explain his opinions and plans in his various foreign tongues.

Isn’t he an inspiring kid? We may not have his level of language learning skills but we have him as an inspiration. As young as he is, he is conveying to us at some ways that we too can learn foreign languages. We can go to language school of our choice if we wanted to have a formal and comprehensive learning. Or, if we choose to improve our English more, we can take English course Miami and make a career out of it.

“I’ve been to one or two other countries and it’s a lot of fun being there and able to speak the language. And people’s attitude is a lot friendlier if you speak their own language to them,” quoting Bruce. ““It is kind of like a hobby. But you have to really push hard to learn them. If you try half-heartedly, you won’t get anywhere.”

It’s true indeed.
